New Home Construction
Ground-up custom builds, managed from dirt to drywall.
Building a custom home means coordinating a dozen trades across months of work, and the sequence matters as much as the craftsmanship. We manage new home construction from the first excavation cut through final punch-list, staying on-site through grading, footings, foundation, framing, mechanical rough-ins, and finish carpentry so the schedule doesn't quietly slip a trade at a time.
Since our crews also handle excavation, concrete, water line installation, and septic systems in-house, a new build with SignatureCraft isn't juggling five separate contractors for site work alone — the same team that pours your foundation is the team that graded your lot and set your water line, which keeps the early, failure-prone stages of a build under one accountable roof.
Why Choose Us?
- Site work, concrete, and utilities are handled by the same crews building the house — fewer handoffs, fewer scheduling gaps.
- Every phase is inspected and signed off before the next trade builds on top of it.
- You get a realistic, written construction timeline before groundbreaking, not a verbal estimate.
- We manage subcontractor scheduling so trades aren't waiting on each other — or on you.

Our New Home Construction Process
Site Prep & Grading
Clearing, excavation, and grading set a stable, properly drained pad before footings go in.
Foundation & Framing
Footings, foundation walls or slab, then structural framing to dried-in shell.
Rough-In & Inspections
Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC rough-ins are installed and inspected before insulation and drywall.
Finish Carpentry & Final Walkthrough
Trim, cabinetry, fixtures, and flooring finish the home, followed by a full walkthrough and punch-list close-out.
Common Questions About New Home Construction
How long does a custom home build typically take?+
Most single-family homes in Central Kentucky take 7-10 months from groundbreaking to move-in, depending on size, custom finishes, and weather during the site work and framing stages.
Do you build from my own house plans?+
Yes — we build from architect-supplied plans or work with you to refine an existing design for your lot's grading and utility access before construction starts.
Who handles the septic and water line for a new build?+
We do, in-house. Since we install both septic systems and water lines ourselves, they're scheduled as part of the build rather than farmed out to a separate contractor.
